Large Language Models (LLMs) are among the most important developments in modern artificial intelligence. They power conversational assistants, document summarization, machine translation, code generation, information extraction, question answering, and increasingly complex AI systems.

Despite their apparent ability to understand language, LLMs do not process text in exactly the same way humans do. At their core, they are large probabilistic models trained to represent patterns in sequences of tokens and to estimate the probability of subsequent tokens.
